334/365 New Camera Bag...

I've out grown my old other one, and this one's a bit big, but now I've got room to grow. This will also hold my laptop, so much easier for travel! It will also serve to hold my reflector when I don't have the laptop, and it'll be great for day trip hiking. Can attach the tripod... very excited!

333/365 Rose Valley

Took a quick visit to Rose Valley... need to spend some more time here. So gorgeous!

330/365 Where the Sidewalk Ends

Where the Sidewalk Ends

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

Brian won his first tennis tourny this weekend!

327/365 Flight

There is an art, or rather a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. ~Douglas Adams, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

325/365 The Better It Gets, The Better It Gets

This is a day for savoring. Savor the golden moments today. They are there if you ask for them and are willing to see them. Take your time as much as possible. Make a conscious effort to be a gracious receiver of the gifts of God by enjoying all that has been given. Look around your world and focus on the things that stimulate appreciation and joy in you.

The more that you become an awakened appreciator, savoring the good that is given, the more the good will flood every aspect of your being and your life. This is only the beginning.

~Jacob Glass The Crabby Angels Chronicles

324/365 Get in the Zone...

"The Miracle Zone"... The place where thinking, reasoning, and trying to figure things out simply does not work. Here's the prescription:
  • Less asking for, more allowing
  • Less wanting, more appreciating
  • Less fixing what's wrong, more savoring what's right
  • Less intending, more accepting
~Jacob Glass "The Crabby Angels Chronicles"

323/365 Shadow Play...

322/365 Another every day scene...

This is the view from the parking garage by my school... Palm trees still fascinate this Michigan girl!

321/365 Everyday highway scene

This is part of the 101 that we drive all the time... Pacific on the right, mountains on the left... right now the mountains are blooming brilliant yellow with wild mustard. Gorgeous!

319/365 Happy Easter/Christos Anesti

We celebrate it Greek style around here... lots of great food, nice time with family and friends.

The day started out with a little excitement, and Brian helped capture it! We've had several animal visitors in this house... several birds have come into the house via our back lanai. And today a Grackle decided to pay a visit. He was pretty shaken up and had to take about ten minutes on the back deck before he finally flew away. Glad he didn't hurt himself! Birds freak Brian out, but I can usually just walk in and pick them up and set them straight.

318/365 Easter weekend...
