The Beginning of something new...

This is not how I planned for the Project to end, but two weeks ago, our dear Chocolate Lab Louis needed to have an emergency splenectomy. We very nearly lost him, but after much great care from some very devoted Doctors, Technicians, and family, he is recovering well. He may yet need chemotherapy, but for now, he's doing well.

This, on top of the fact that my husband and I are moving the family to a new house right now, just got to be too much to keep the blog going every day.

So for now, that's the end though I may keep it up on a weekly and occasional basis. It's been an amazing year, so full of lessons, and changes... and it just keeps expanding.

  1. Oh, gosh, poor Louis and poor you guys. So glad there is still quality life left.

You're moving away from that fabulous view???

Seriously, I've loved your daily photo-diary since getting to know you via that poem of mine. It's been such a treat having a tiny window into a different life. I'll miss it, so please do keep posting now and again. (I know it's time consuming - I don't do mine nearly as often as I should.)

I think you've learnt through it too, yes?

Lots of love for the next year.

  2. :) Yes Jan, I've enjoyed meeting you this way as well! I don't make comments to others as as often as I'd like...
I will continue to post. I'm going to try to keep it up weekly.

We actually don't have to give up our view! We stayed in town, just downsized the house (which was needed) and we're still on the river bed, so we still have a nice view. I'll post pics soon. It's been cloudy here, what we call the "May Gray", so it's not been pretty for a shot of the view, but I'll get one soon!
Love to you to across the miles!
